Pedro is a dreamy teenager who lives in a modest house with his mother in Manilha, near an expressway that takes thousands of people to the beach. During school holidays, he and his friends Renan and Thiago sell drinks on the hot asphalt of the traffic jam, while longing to see the sea again. For Pedro, going to the beach is a childhood memory, from when his father still lived with the family. It’s a very hot day, and a couple stuck in traffic wants to buy a Coke while two drivers start a fight. Pedro hides in the back of a vehicle to escape the commotion. Fate then takes him to a beach, where he spends an entire day under the spell of pleasure. He surfs, drinks ice tea, plays soccer, and envisions new dreams. At the end of the day, he makes a comforting phone call to his mother and prepares to
return home, this time with a new outlook on the future.
